| OPAF WILL ONCE AGAIN BE HOSTING FAVORITE EVENTS AT THE ACADEMY NATIONAL MEETING IN ORLANDO The Thranhardt Golf Classic will be held on Wednesday, February 27 at Grand Cypress Golf Club, with an 8 am shotgun start. Transportation to and from the golf course, along with a box lunch will be provided. Grand Cypress is a premier course regularly charging $190/round. For $200 a round you will receive not only golf, but transportation, lunch, a goodie bag and the chance to give back to your industry through the Official Philanthropy. Come join your friends, colleagues and fellows within the industry for a day of golf, with proceeds from the event helping OPAF to sustain its mission. Registration forms available here. OPAF's First Bid will be held during the Academy National Meeting on Thursday evening, February 28 from 6-8 pm at Caribe Royale Rooms Boca 5-8.First Bid will feature both Live and Silent Auction items, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. A list of auction items is available on the First Bid lens at www.squidoo.com/FirstBid_OPAF. If you wish to support OPAF's First Bid during the Academy National Meeting in Orlando, either with a donation or as a sponsor, please complete and return the form available here in PDF format or here in Word format. OPAF's First Volley Adaptive Tennis Clinic will be part of the Academy Educational Format on Friday, February 29 from 6-7:30 pm on the Caribe Royale Lighted Tennis Courts. ABC will award MCEs to any credentialed person who attends, participates or volunteers with First Volley. Come see our nationally recognized tennis clinic and how it may benefit your patients, your practice and your community. |

The OPAF Legacy Program
The OPAF Legacy Program helps to insure the future health of OPAF as we expand our direct service programs and grow our official representation of the O&P community.

T. Rowe Price Program for Charitable Giving, a national donor-advised
fund that promotes philanthropy in the United States.

As a public charity and an IRS registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Program for Charitable Giving will receive contributions made to the OPAF Legacy Program and will provide donors with all of the necessary information to receive a federal income tax deduction up to allowable Internal Revenue Service limits. In addition, donors can contribute marketable securities to the OPAF Legacy Program. By transferring long-term appreciated securities in-kind to the Program for Charitable Giving, donors may then deduct the full value of the appreciated securities and avoid paying capital gains taxes. From time to time, OPAF's Board President and Executive Director, with approval of the full Board, will recommend that a distribution be made from the Legacy Program to sustain and grow OPAF's mission. Donations to The OPAF Legacy Program at The T. Rowe Price Program for Charitable Giving can be as little as $500 or as generous as you wish.

Rowe Price Associates, Inc., because the assets in the OPAF Legacy Program are invested under T. Rowe Price's guidance. Since its founding in 1937, T. Rowe Price has built a heritage of integrity, founded on the principle that taking care of its clients will take care of the company. That philosophy, combined with proprietary research, provides a foundation for the company's consistent, long-term risk-aware strategy for managing investments. As of June 30, 2002, the firm and its affiliates managed $148.8 billion in assets.
